Brewers Win NL Central!

Last night was a reason to celebrate as the Milwaukee Brewers won the NL Central Division!  They beat the Florida Marlins 4-1 , but could not celebrate yet.  They needed the St. Louis Cardinals to lose to the Chicago Cubs!  The players and fans watched the end of the Cubs/Cards game on the big screen, and the Cubs beat the Cards 5-1!  This is the Milwaukee Brewers first division crown since 1982!  Did you know that the Brewers are now the only team in MLB to win a division championship in both the American League and National League?!?

Next Stop....Playoffs!

PACE Sessions Have Started!!!

Hello Parents, Students, and Staff!

Nota Bene, (Of Good Note ~ Latin), PACE sessions have begun at my four schools and I am excited to begin lessons with students!  We are launching a new online classroom as well on Edmodo and that will replace the PACE Teachers Wiki for online discussions and turning in assignments.  The PACE Teachers Wiki is still available for students, parents, and teachers as more of a resource instead.  This is the time to make a difference, begin raising the bar so that you can achieve the very best this academic year!  As always parents if you have any questions or need to get a hold of me the best way is by email at

Sincerely,

Mr. Washuleski

9/11~ 10th Year Anniversary

On Sunday, September 11, 2011 our nation will commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and also the brave people on Flight 93 who stopped terrorists from another attack in rural Pennsylvania.  This date will forever be burned into the memories of those who lived through it and witnessed the tragedy occur that fateful day.  It was the Pearl Harbor of my generation and many of my students were just being born or not even born yet, so I want them to have some understanding of this very important day in our nation's history.  The terrorists may have taken over three thousand lives that day, but our resolve is stronger now than ever before and the United States of America will continue to stand together, united towards the ideals of freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!

For an interactive timeline of the 9/11 attacks in New York City, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania, please click the link below. (Warning: Parents, some of the material is adult in nature and has adult language, so please use your discretion.)

Interactive 9/11 Timeline

What 9/11 taught me as I was just a a junior in college at the time~ was to never take any moment for granted, live for today, and most importantly~ tell your family you love them every chance you get!

Respectfully Submitted,

Mr. Washuleski

PACE/HALA/HAM Orientation!

Good Morning and Welcome Back to School!

This week and next week will be the start of PACE Services at the four schools that I work with!  We will go through an orientation, which will explain what it means to work at a high level and consistently challenge yourself to get better.  We will also look ahead to some new educational opportunities that we will be doing for Language Arts and Math!  Finally, we will discuss how technology will allow students from all 4 schools to engage in meaningful discussions on a variety of topics!

Till I see you in class, have a great day, and remember to be good to each other, but more importantly, be good to yourself!

Regards,

Mr. Washuleski
